What a pleasure it was to meet with you for Parent Teacher conferences this week.  We appreciate touching base with you and keeping you apprised of your student’s successes in school.  Working with your children everyday is a privilege.

English

Students have been working away at their persuasive essays trying to convince one another and their reading audience why or why not you should own a pet.  Keep an eye out for these essays on the wall outside the classrooms soon.

Math

This week was light on homework due to conferences and the fact that the Unit 3 test was on Thursday.  Students worked hard to complete their exam with all the knowledge they gathered from the previous unit.  Look for their corrected tests in the homework folders before Thanksgiving break.

Unit and Spanish

Integrating unit and Spanish, they began working on writing persuasive texts. Based on what they have learned about solar panels, children should set a position about whether they agreed or not  to have solar panels at home. They have begun to explain the reasons for their position and the evidence supporting their reasons.
