We had a great week full of warm weather and lots of learning. Students are looking forward to skiing in February on Fridays. Please make sure you have all the appropriate paperwork turned in to the office so they can go.
Spirit Week is 1/27-1/31. We hope your students have fun dressing up as the following to show their school spirit:
Monday (Pajama Day), Tuesday (Extra-curricular Day), Wednesday (Wacky Day), Thursday (Character Day), Friday (School Spirit day with MIS gear).
Dia de amor y amistad (Valentine’s Day) is coming up. Below, see the list of names for both the 4/5 classes. Encourage your child to make their Valentine’s for the whole 4/5th grade and please be sure to bring one for everyone. We will hand out Valentine’s on Thursday afternoon (February 13th) and celebrate and open them on Friday, February 14th.
Liz’s HR / Ibrahin’s HR:
Math was full of fractions and multiplication methods this week. Your students are all risk-takers attempting a variety of ways to solve math problems, keeping their minds open to new methods.
In English, students decided on a book to read for a CD cover book report which helps them show their comprehension while touching on their creative, artistic sides. Please keep encouraging your students to read 20 minutes a night at home in English and Spanish.
