Hello everyone!  We hope this second week of navigating remote learning for your student and you has been manageable.   We are all figuring this out together.  Through consistent communication, patience and kindness to ourselves and each other, things can only improve.

We wanted to share a message from Laura, our librarian:   If the students or parents would like to check out a book from the library, they can check on the library catalog (link is found in the library classroom in our website)  Parents can email me( [email protected]) the title and I will check it out, leave the book with their name on the card table by the front door.  They can ring the bell and pick up that book.   This would be only on Wednesdays or Thursdays and I’d like some advanced notice please.

Students are getting accustomed to our video conferences and have let their personalities shine through.  They love to see their peers and catch up with each other.  This coming week, students will have the option to have video lunches with their friends from 11:30-12:15 M-Th and from 11:50-12:15 on Fridays.  Ibrahin and Liz will post the lunch link everyday on their Google Classroom pages.  This will be a time for kids to socialize and see each other online.

We will also begin video meetings with small groups of students for Math, PYP and Spanish this coming week.  This way, students will have a forum for their questions and be able to hear and speak Spanish.  The small group schedules will be shared by Monday morning (4/13)  on our respective Google Classroom pages.
